Yup, it's weird how life changes you without even noticing. I never wanted to have kids and I could not understand why people would put themselves through that, but now I have a niece and when she isn't being an annoying little shit, I get it. I get why people have kids and I get how you can become a completely different person once you take on that responsibility. I understand why parents make the sacrifices that they do.

That being said, kids are too expensive and I need a new graphics card so hard pass.

i think i've missed my one shot guys. i don't know if I can ever go back. i've met the one and he's gone.

i'm talking to an awfully nice guy, he's perfect in so many ways. but i have so many fears that it'll never be right, like i'm gonna sabotage. now i almost just wanna be alone because it's easier.

So, It's been over 11 years since my dad died. I was 33, and my sister was 9, I think my father and I had made peace when he died. There were arguments that he and I got into when he was alive that would have made a sailor blush, It usually involved money, and I know my sister and stepmother were witnesses to to more than one of these arguments. Anyway, I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Wondering if he thought about how his only son acted like a jackass when he was on his deathbed. Wondering if I'll have anyone who cares at all when I'm on my deathbed. I was also thinking about the having children thing, and how my dad traced our name back 1000 years to southern England, and how we were more than likely a part of the Norman invasion of England. Our name dies with me, and that's a lot of pressure.

Anyway, maybe I've had too much to drink. But these are the kinds of things that keep me up at night.

    And I want you
Oh my god, I want you
To see me in this state
    And I want you
Fill your sleep and haunt you
To see the mess you've made
    You've made
    And I want you
And all my dreams are no use
    When I am wide awake
    And I want to
    Believe I haven't lost you
    It's driving me insane

So please just give me something for the pain
'Cause my heart softens to your name
And when you're gone I come undone
And when you're gone how come I'm weak
And I walk wires and I pull teeth
And I'm so tired of chasing dreams
I need someone to wake me up
I need someone to wake me up

I hope I wake up in a year or two, and it's better, and he isn't a thought on my mind, and i've found another big love.

Hi. I tend to be very private about my longtime dysthymia (or whatever it's being called now), I was raised to deny its existence but am finally finding that it is healthier to acknowledge and accept and deal with it than to try to drown it. Grateful this thread and all of you exist. We all have value.

I'm not at all laughing at your post because I have the same problem and it sucks, but it's teensy bit funny that this was made 1 minute before you tagged me in the washi...I feel somewhat responsible for your washi addiction :grimace:

Look what you did!! (Don't worry, I thought it was funny too :p )

I get really obsessive when I see new things that I decide to like. Here are my previous obsessions that I spent entirely too much on
    1. Crocheting blankets (I still have 8 things of yarn sitting in my closet.)
    2. Beads. (I wanted to make those hanging bead curtains)
    3. Coloring books. (I think my posts in the coloring thread cover this.)
    4. So. Many. Colored. Pencils.
    5. Gel Pens
    6. Bullet journaling/Plannering (This is where my washi tape addiction actually started)

It usually coincides with when I get to being regretful about stuff so I pick up a new obsession >.>

I used to do that too, with coloring books/colored pencils, cross stitch, those lanyard thingies, etc. Now my attention is on toys for kiddo. He doesn't seem to mind.

Writing should actually also be on this list, but I decided not to include it because I actually finished something for once in my life. (More or less)
