I don't think I'm as hateful as I was a year ago (or, like, earlier this year) and it's a good change of pace

My less than 50 year old aunt found out that she has cancer. Her mom (my grandma) died of cancer when she was only 55. I guess I have to try to live until my daughter is 18 (or I'm 48)!

Stressed beyond belief. For anyone who missed it in the daily thread, kiddo's room flooded again because of the upstairs apartment's AC. 2 trashbags worth of toys and clothes were molded, had to be thrown out. My whole apartment smells absolutely disgusting. Carpet people are coming tomorrow to clean it. I just had to move everything out of his room, but I'm not moving his twin-size bed because the frame is enormous and solid wood. I'd have to get a tool I don't have to take it apart to get it through the door and I'm not about to do that. They can bitch all they want, I'll move it for them when they do half the room. My house is a fucking disaster because all of my son's other furniture and all of his toys are now in my room and the living room. The smell has caused a migraine and kiddo has to sleep with me for now. He moves ALL NIGHT and I'm an extremely light sleeper, so I got basically no sleep last night, and most likely won't tonight.

My boyfriend goes to court on the 28th, to see if the judge will approve the guilty plea withdrawal (that he didn't even ask his lawyer to do, but what the fuck ever). That's also his birthday. I got him a birthday card and some snacks from commissary as a present and I feel fucking horrible that that's all we can do. And I realized a few days ago that he most likely won't be home for kiddo's birthday in October and I just wanted to fucking cry.

On the bright side, I was finally able to do the drug test today so now I'll be able to start my new anxiety meds in a few days, IF my mom can take kiddo for the day/night so I can find out if I'm even going to be able to take it with kiddo here.

Sorry for the wall of text.

edit: also just realized I was wearing a tight shirt and no bra the entire time the maintenance guy was here. so that's embarrassing. I'm sure I'll be cringing over that for the foreseeable future.

I still wake up angry everyday.

you spend five years *knowing* someone will be there everyday when you wake up. You don't question that outside death, they will be there that next day.

Then you face the reality and it's been 9 months they're not there in the morning.

But yesterday, I didn't drink a drop of alcohol, I went to be early, got a good night's sleep, and woke up to a happy dog that was wiggling around on her back, happy to see me awake.

And a cat purring in my face.

And it's a little bit more okay than it was the day before.

I don't think I've ever posted in this thread, but I tend to try not to give too much away, considering my position here and the fact that I am actually really fucking shy. This week has certainly been trying, though. I ended a relationship that meant the world to me, I received some pretty awful news about a dear family member that I'll probably never see again, and I found out that the only person that I have to talk to in this damned desert is moving out of state in a couple weeks. On top of that, I've been incredibly overwhelmed and stressed with MTurk and forum stuff, but I find myself focusing more and more on that to just not think about the other stuff. At this point, I feel like I'm wound up so tight that I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to relax again. I've been taking sleeping pills just to sleep at night because I don't want to be awake with my thoughts, though I still barely get any rest. I know I need to try to take my foot off the gas and just chill for at least a little bit, but I worry that if I do I'll just come apart.

It has been a fun week, so far. And it's only Wednesday.

If you need someone to talk to, I'm always here if you want. Otherwise I know you have some other supportive friends that would probably listen to you if you needed it. Or ranting in here is fine, too. If you're able to find any ways to relax, even temporarily, try to do so.

just got off the phone with BF. The judge heard his argument for withdrawing his guilty plea, the prosecutor didn't really have any argument against it. We'll find out in a few days if the judge will allow it. His lawyer said whether he's allowed to withdraw it or not, he has a 'hell of an argument' in his favor once he gets to sentencing. So...that's good.

I took a very small dose last night and slept for about 11 hours. I only use it when I REALLY need to sleep because it's grog city the next day.

Trazadone. Gabapentin did nothing for me. I kept getting it refilled for a while with my other meds out of habit and one day realized I had like six bottles of it.
