i’m also putting money on the Rockets at +177 for the series

i’m a homer, but i just “feel” it’ll happen. this is the same feeling i had with the Astros vs Yankees last year and then the Astros vs the Dodgers

IF the rockets can make it pass GSW (which i *feel* they will)... they should be able to beat Clev (albiet it won’t be easy since LeBron is LeBron)

    go houston

I should have put all of my money on Boston +450 (lol?) for the Sixers series.

Everyone went absolutely insane because they beat an extremely mediocre Miami team, and no one respects Al Horford. The sports writers sometimes say they do, but they don't.

+450 as a home team in the second round, that has to be some kind of record. I don't know where you'd find a historical database of series prices, though. I guess I could extrapolate it from the game 1 spreads or something.

I would rather have Al Horford than anyone on the Raptors, Wizards, and Blazers for the playoffs, except maybe Lillard and that's a tossup. Lillard .570 true shooting in the regular season, .500 in the playoffs. Al Horford .569 in the regular season, .562 in the playoffs. Steph, Chris Paul, and Harden don't have the same dropoff in the playoffs as Lillard, so it's not necessarily a position thing. Lillard is living off the regular season and one game winner from four years ago.

Horford isn’t as flashy as all those other guys. Probably why he doesn’t get the love. He reminds me of Tim Duncan in the sense that he just plays basketball without all the bells and whistles.

Lillard is a regular season god (had him on my fantasy team), but you’re right. It’s also funny because Rockets blew a defensive assignment on his game winner four years ago (still a good shot though).

Chris Paul has been a monster in the playoffs his entire career, but gets shit for a couple stupid mistakes in big spots. I hope they win the championship, and he wins Finals MVP. That would be a great end to the season.

I would have wanted the Warriors to win if they had won in 2016, because it would be an amazing run of 4 straight with the opportunity for a couple more, with some very good and probably non-Cleveland matchups the next two years with the Celtics or Sixers.

These finals are apparently going to be shitty no matter what. The closest series is Cleveland beating Houston 24% of the time.

Lillard got clamped by a defensive scheme that they should have adjusted to.

I still don't know wtf happened in that series.

But it reminds me that Chicago should have won against Boston, and if Rondo doesn't go down, they win that series.

I think either is accepted, but I tend to say towards, too. Apparently, toward is more common in America while towards is preferred in Britain. Growing up, I think most around me said towards (maybe because most of the people in my area of the U.S. came from Britain?).

This made me think of a pet peeve of mine. I think it's incredibly stupid when an American becomes interested in all things British and starts using British spellings of words (for example: labour instead of labor). Those people must have run out of ways to seem interesting.
