Hey everyone, I'm sBender, brand new turker. I've known about mturk for years, I've just decided to start using a bit of my downtime on doing something constructive instead of melting my brain in front of the TV or playing games. I have a good day job, so I'll be doing most of my turk work nights and weekends. I'm just interested in making a few extra bucks for nights out and stuff like that. I found this community by searching for turking guides and was steered here by a blogger (sorry, can't remember who).

I hale from the mighty commonwealth of VA, been married 22 years and am probably old enough to be most of you fine folks' father. When I'm not working, I ride motorcycles, play guitar and just spend time with my family.

That's about it. I'm looking forward to learning a thing or two from you all. This looks like a great community for support in this endeavor. Thanks in advance for any help you give me! Hopefully one day I'll be able to reciprocate.

Welcome to MTC! Where in VA are you? I lived in VA Beach for about 8 years.

I live in the Fredericksburg area. I do have quite a few friends in Hampton Roads and VA Beach so I'm down that way pretty frequently.

Welcome! Have fun Turking! It is a great way to earn extra income, especially once you start building up your hit totals, percentage, and qualifications. There are some really awesome hits out there. Do what works best for you. For example, I avoid low paying hits that take up too much time. Finally, look for a requestor's rating on Turk Option!
